About ClearPrice Health
ClearPrice Health is an editorial atlas of hospital prices. Currently covering Colorado, expanding state by state. Free, ad-free, and not paid by any hospital, payer, or insurer.
What we publish
Every dollar value on the site comes from a hospital’s own machine-readable file, required under 45 CFR §180.50. We do not model, estimate, or crowdsource any prices. The methodology page documents the exact pipeline; the data lineage for any number on the site can be traced back to specific source rows.

Who publishes this

What we are not
Plain identity claims, so there is no ambiguity about how to read the site.
- · Not a clinician or care provider. We do not diagnose, treat, recommend, or rule out any procedure for any person.
- · Not a price quote engine. Figures here are aggregates from hospital-published regulatory filings — not estimates, pre-authorisations, or guarantees of what an individual patient will be billed.
- · Not insurance advice. Coverage depends on your specific plan; a payer appearing in a hospital’s MRF does not equal in-network acceptance for your visit.
- · Not advertising. No hospital, payer, or insurer pays for placement, ranking, or removal on this site.
- · Not a display-ad publisher. We run no banner ads, no sponsored content, no affiliate links, and no programmatic ad slots. (We do load minimal visit-counting analytics — see “Analytics” below for the honest list.)
What we will not do
Action commitments. If we ever change one of these, the editorial policy page will say so explicitly and the change will be dated.
- · Give medical advice. We will not recommend, endorse, or steer any reader toward a specific procedure, hospital, or treatment plan.
- · Model, estimate, or crowdsource prices. Every figure is a number a hospital published itself in its machine-readable file — never an inference from elsewhere.
- · Take payment to influence rankings or content. No money from any hospital, payer, insurer, or third party elevates, hides, reorders, or alters any data on the site.
- · Sell visitor data to advertisers or data brokers. We do not commercialise browsing data. (We do use Google Analytics for aggregate visit counts; Google retains that data per its own platform terms — see “Analytics” below.)
- · Present unverified figures as fact. If our parser cannot read a hospital’s MRF, that hospital is omitted from the site rather than guessed at.
Analytics
Honest disclosure of what loads in your browser and what each tool collects. We don’t run a cookie consent banner because the answer below is short enough to read in 30 seconds.
Google Analytics 4
Counts page views and basic visit metadata (device type, region from IP, referrer). We send IP addresses with the last octet anonymised and we never join GA data to any other dataset. Google retains the data per their own terms; if you’re signed into a Google account, that account ID may be linked at Google’s end. Sets first-party _ga and _ga_* cookies.
We honour the Global Privacy Control automatically: if your browser exposes navigator.globalPrivacyControl === true, our GA initialiser disables ad-personalization signals on your session.
No other trackers
No LinkedIn Insight Tag, no Meta/Facebook pixel, no TikTok pixel, no Google Ads pixel, no advertising or attribution networks. We run no programmatic display ads and no affiliate links.
How to opt out
We honour browser-level “Do Not Track” signals for the analytics tools where the platform supports it. To block both pixels client-side: any standard tracking-blocker extension (uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials) or Firefox / Safari’s built-in tracking protection drops the requests before they leave your browser. The site continues to work without them.
